     Jake & Kevin--longtime friends since college--reunite after 16 years apart--- unexpectedly as newfound neighbors; as past is prologue, and doesn't take long before Kevin asks a favor of Jake of which, then or since, he can't say no.

   Jake's wife Kiernan and their two children, Summer and Chase, along with Kevin's wife Daliah, in all, become collateral damage in Kevin's diabolical pursuits to keep secrets from his wife, but the babysitter Neesha has overheard everything; that quid pro quo, pro Bro, she tells Kiernan.

    Quickly--the "gilded cage of a marriage," albeit from a "Theory of Mind" perch--flashbacks 10 years ago and back again to the present-day--and discloses spousal and child abuse, two missing persons reports, and depictions of Jake confined in a Vermont county jail.

    The truth herefrom amid the lies reveals "blood isn't always thicker than water," especially whilst one loves someone else beyond their control...or because they are liars.
